High School Students Attend Mini Business World at Carroll University

Last week, the Waukesha County Business Alliance and the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) Foundation hosted Mini Business World at Carroll University. The goal of the program is to provide students with a stronger understanding of what it takes to start a business, the power of the free enterprise system, and ultimately leave with a firmer grasp on economic and financial literacy.

Over 130 high school students were split up into groups and tasked with building their own business from the ground up. The groups were responsible for brainstorming an idea and coming up with a full business plan including building a prototype, marketing plan, financial budget, and administration. Each group presented its business plan in front of the class at the end of the day. The innovative business ideas that came out of the program were truly remarkable!
