
Over 1,000 students from school districts in and around Waukesha County attended the Alliance’s annual Discovering Health Care Expo at the Waukesha County Expo Center on Tuesday, March 11. This event served as an invaluable opportunity for students to explore various careers within the field, gaining firsthand knowledge and practical skills.
Throughout the expo, students participated in interactive demonstrations and activities designed to showcase the diverse opportunities available in healthcare. They learned critical life-saving techniques such as performing CPR and administering an IV, gaining insights into the vital roles that medical professionals play in patient care. Additionally, students explored nursing careers, engaged in nutrition education, and even had the opportunity to donate blood, reinforcing the importance of healthcare services in the community.
The event was instrumental in inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals, equipping students with essential skills and knowledge to consider careers in this dynamic industry. By offering real-world experiences and direct engagement with healthcare professionals, the Health Care Expo played a crucial role in preparing students for future career success.
