A Stronger Voice for Business: Alliance Hosts Legislative Day in Madison

On March 5, the Waukesha County Business Alliance hosted its inaugural Legislative Day in Madison, bringing together business leaders and policymakers to discuss key economic priorities impacting our region.

The half-day program provided an opportunity for business leaders to engage directly with 14 different legislators, ensuring the business community has a seat at the table on critical legislative issues. Throughout the meetings, business leaders shared their perspectives on various issues, including:

  • Policies to reduce financial burdens on county government
  • Protecting the Manufacturing and Agriculture Tax Credit
  • The impact of the EPA’s serious non-attainment designation for Wisconsin

This first Legislative Day reinforced the Alliance’s role as an advocate for its 1,200 members representing more than 120,000 employees. By building and strengthening relationships with decision-makers, we are ensuring that the policies shaping Wisconsin’s economic landscape reflect the needs of businesses in Waukesha County.

A special thank you to Michael Best for hosting and to all of the business leaders who participated. If you’re interested in learning more about how to get involved in the Alliance’s advocacy efforts, reach out to WNeitzel@waukesha.org.
