Alliance participates in roundtable on FlexRide expansion

Last week, the Alliance participated in a Workforce Innovation Grant roundtable discussion on FlexRide. The roundtable was hosted at Alliance member company Scan-Pac, in conjunction with MobiliSE, and included Missy Hughes, secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation; Amy Pechacek, Department of Workforce Development secretary-designee and Craig Thompson, secretary, Wisconsin Department of Transportation and others. The discussion centered around the Wisconsin Workforce Innovation Grant that was recently announced to help expand FlexRide, an on-demand transportation service. During the roundtable, two Scan-Pac employees spoke about their experience using FlexRide to get to and from work and the positive impact the service has had on their lives and in particular, their ability to get to work.
