For small businesses looking to grow, the proper alignment of sales and marketing is critical to future success. Failing to correctly answer questions like “who does what, who reports to whom, and what are our objectives” are missteps that can keep an organization from maximizing its potential.

We’re excited to celebrate 100 years of business in 2018. From our humble beginnings in 1918 as the Waukesha Chamber of Commerce, representing just the City of Waukesha, we have grown to be a business powerhouse that represents the whole of Waukesha County, truly making us a strong voice for business in our entire region.

The number one concern we hear from the business community is workforce. In a survey we conducted in 2017, 67% of businesses in Waukesha County report finding a skilled workforce to be the primary challenge they face when starting or growing their business. It’s time for us to address that.

We were excited to join Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow today at the 2017 Executive Awards Banquet to announce our partnership for the 2018 Waukesha County Awards Gala!

Robyn Ludtke, talent and education manager for both the Waukesha County Business Alliance and the Waukesha County Center for Growth, recently participated in the second of three classes facilitated by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Talent Pipeline Management Academy in Washington D.C.

Foxconn has announced Mount Pleasant as the site for its new $10 billion manufacturing plant. The Waukesha County Center for Growth and the Waukesha County Business Alliance have been supportive of the project since the beginning, and we have been working hard to make sure that Waukesha County is poised to take advantage of the many opportunities Foxconn has to offer.

The Waukesha County Business Alliance, Waukesha County Center for Growth, Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow and Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington (WOW) Workforce Development board gathered results from a survey that reveals trends for business in Waukesha County. These organizations partnered to distribute a similar survey in 2015 to guide an economic development plan that ultimately ended in the creation of the Waukesha County Center for Growth.
